A few weeks ago, West of West got a chance to talk to Heather Jarvie about her upcoming production of 1959 Pink Thunderbird Convertible as well as the show she was about to put on of some her latest paintings. You see, Heather is a bit of a Jill of all trades (see the interview for more of the pursuits that she has become involved in). We were so impressed with some of the work that we saw at her exhibit that we asked if we could highlight a few on the site and she, very graciously, said yes. In particular, we wanted to show off Heather’s use of texture on her canvases. Take a look at Abstract 2, where she layered paint and paper repeatedly in order to get a luminous melding of colour and texture. So here you go, art fans: An encore gallery from Heather Jarvie.
